It's too late and I will regret this time tomorrow. But [info]avahasnoalias challenged people to follow a blog she's following and post 30 days of things that make you happy.

I have been wanting to write more in this. I do enjoy the facecrack but doesn't feel like anything I will really be able to look at 5 years from now and understand who I was at the moment with it. The other day being my birthday I went back and read my posts on or near my birthday here in LJ that I had written and it was really valuable.

So I'm starting now, damn the hour.

Saturday things that made me happy Day 1

Sleeping In
Shopping for [info]steph_taylor birthday present
A moment alone in the house
My new party outfit
Sodium and Caution and Celeste for opening their house for my birthday party
Everyone who attended (so many!)
Everyone who didn't attend but I know love me anyway
Flirting
Other people with birthdays
Presents (Cooking with Coolio! A spanking paddle! Art Books! Pornament!)

Sunday Happy Day 2

People who clean before they leave a party making my work much less
Spending the day with Nila
Dollhouse
Setting up the wii my Mom bought me for my birthday

Monday Happy Day 3

Diet Coke
A home filled with friends when I get home

  • 09:14 I have an unfortunate case of senioritis. I'm not a senior, about to go on vacation from work, or about to quit my job. #

Sometimes I wish there were a way to funnel the most ridiculous moments that happen in the comments to things I post on Facebook to Livejournal so that you could all share in the fun.

Well, I no longer have a working windows desktop.

Now, how do you get rid of a 2 foot tall case and some 3 year old components?
Recycle? Craigslist? Freecycle?

The cheap bastard in me wants some kind of monitary return but I doubt there is any for the effort it would take.

Ideas? Only the power supply is dead.

  • 16:34 As much as I talk about being stabby, I'm actually pretty kind. But I I'm far more loyal than kind. Don't fuck with the fam. Just don't. #

ZOE - VERY PROUD OF HER CRAYON FOREST

Finding myself suddenly awake at 3:14 AM....which is 6:14AM here in Pittsburgh.  The chance of me getting back to bed again any time soon is slim. Promised my parents that i'd be up by noon but I don't think this counts...

Bit my tounge an hour ago and it is still bleeding. Makes me think of fight club.

How much was it you can swallow?

It's mid-December, people, and I am CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF.

Which means Super Active Weekend starts....[looks at watch] oh, about *now*.

TONIGHT, I AM GOING TO DNA FOR XMAS MEAT, WAAA-HOO!

*click*

I'm headed out at happy hour to Mr. Smith's to celebrate Work Spouse's Last Day at Hell EVER (so traumatic), and then will truck on down to sit on Santa Pig's lap.

Tomorrow night, I am super-pleased to say that I'm making it out to this month's Hubbs:

At NEITHER of these parties will I be dressed like a slutty elf.
Or on a gogo box.
I will be wearing my OWN freaking clothes and sitting and socializing. Hooray!

You come, you see me, you mock my shoe. How does that sound?

Saturday holds the 5&D trunk sale and hosting Work Spouse's going-away party. Woof.

I'm feeling pretty stoked, folks. Things are pretty OK over here. And I'd love to see you.

I'm pretty excited to be singing in the opening act this Friday with Wiggy Darlington, Honeysuckle Moses, Alotta Boutté, Sparkly Devil, Honey Lawless, Gigi D'Flower, and Twinkletoes McGee. But don't take my word for it--check out this write-up in the SF Bay Guardian:

Hubba Hubba Revue's Chrismanukkah

Hubba Hubba Revue is big in England. Word of the SF burlesque troupe's shenanigans had reached my burlesexual friend Lou Lou, who knows about tassel-twirling because, back in Blighty, she's a "maid" who flounces about the stage between acts cleaning up the dancers' tossed underthings. Lou Lou was convinced "the maid" was a universal feature of burlesque shows, and was surprised to learn that in the Hubba Hubba Revue, her role is played by a man-monkey named Zip the What-Is-It, bald but for a tuft of hair on his crown. Things are different here. But they do have lovely ladies stripping all retro-like and enough shiny bells and whistles to keep even the burlesque-shy (does such a person exist?) jaw-dropped and fancy free. The troupe's holiday celebration promises peace and goodwill to (wo)man, and performances by Bunny Pistol, Professor Shimmy, and Meshugga Beach Party, a Jewish folk surf jam experience. The first thing I did with the new Thunderbird 3 was copy all my old archived email up to google for storage.

I don't trust the Google and route all my mail to a friends server. It is kind of like using google for a web mail reader or a proxy.

Well, that and they get a copy of everything I do as well. Jerks.

My writing self is constipated. Can't seem to squeeze out a word of import. I just don't care, even though I want to write and want to write something worthwhile. No matter how often I have ideas about things I'd like to explore, when I actually sit down, I can't seem to do it. They won't come, and it is nearly physically painful. I clearly need some sort of literary laxative.
